The ACookies banner works locally in WordPress. Managed scanning is optional and is enabled separately during setup.
Sends the registered public site origin, selected public page URLs, enabled languages, and plugin version. The scanner returns cookies, providers, scripts, and evidence. Server-side job data is scheduled for deletion after seven days.
After scanner terms are accepted, the plugin may send deduplicated milestone events—activation, onboarding complete, first scan, and policy published—using a hashed installation identity. No milestone is sent before that opt-in.
A completed free generator scan can issue an opaque import code valid for seven days. The WordPress plugin can exchange it only after the administrator enables the managed scanner, and only when the registered site origin matches the scanned site.
When AI descriptions are enabled for a paid workflow, detected cookie names, providers, categories, script evidence, and requested languages may be sent to OpenAI. Page content and WordPress credentials are not intentionally sent.
The bundled Freemius SDK handles optional product telemetry, account management, licensing, checkout, and updates according to the consent shown inside WordPress.
The free website tool sends the entered public URL to the scanner. Abuse prevention stores a one-way network identifier and the last target host for a limited period.
